Blackstrap Molasses Can Be Beneficial

Blackstrap molasses is a byproduct of sugar cane’s refining process. Sugar cane is mashed to create juice, and then boiled once to create cane syrup. A second boiling creates molasses. Blackstrap molasses contains vital vitamins and minerals, such as iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium,

vitamin B6, and selenium.

5 Tablespoons per day

Create a Molasses Cocktail add 1 or 2 tablespoons of Blackstrap Molasses to a glass of milk. My Great-great Uncle Floyd Porter (on the Berry/Porter side of my family) did this everyday in his later years and he lived to be 93. Not saying it will make one live to be 93, but is certainly can't hurt to try it.

  • Treats Rheumatism Molasses has been effectively utilized in the preparation of a medication for treating rheumatism and neuralgia.

  • Diabetes-Friendly Sweetener If you have diabetes and a sweet tooth. You can use blackstrap molasses in baking sweet treats.
