Make your own Magnesium Oil and/or Lotion

Magnesium is one of the most vital minerals that our body needs. All cells in your body use magnesium in some way and a magnesium deficiency may show up in these ways, including:

  • muscle weakness

  • anxiety

  • lack of concentration

  • confusion

  • depression

  • irritability

  • poor memory

  • headaches and migraines

  • cravings for junk food

  • osteoporosis

  • high blood pressure

  • insomnia

  • diabetes

  • stroke

If you suffer from some of these symptoms you may be suffering from a lack of magnesium and may be in need of replenishing those levels.

Here are a few foods with high amounts of magnesium in:

  • Green leafy vegetables

  • Fish

  • Beans & lentils

  • Nuts & seeds

  • Whole Grains

  • Avocados

You could also take a magnesium supplement, or apply magnesium oil or lotion to your skin.

To make your own Magnesium Oil and Lotion

For the Oil

  1. Add magnesium flakes to a glass jar.

  2. Pour hot water over the flakes.

  3. Stir until flakes are dissolved

  4. Let cool to room temperature, seal tightly with a lid, and label jar.

  5. Store at room temperature

For the Lotion

  1. Add body lotion into a small bowl.

  2. Add your magnesium oil.

  3. Using a hand mixer or whisk, (1-2 minutes)

  4. Add any essential oils if you wish

  5. Pour into a bottle, store at room temperature.

  6. Shake well before use.
